Another long travel day.

Shinkansen

A Shinkansen South 30 minutes.

A bus South for sooooo long.

Rice fields.

An ad with a flag!

The stairs in the train station are painted to look like the local castle.

Outside the train station there is a statue of a guy on horseback...fighting devil cows?

Also, fire truck manhole covers. Some towns had some really cool manhole covers. We never spotted a Pokémon manhole cover.

Don't have cat fights on the train.

It is Sunday in the holiday period. There is a place in the mountains here where you can hike around and snif sulphuric gas. That parking lot was completely packed, and people were not giving up. So the traffic on the road it it was stopped, waiting for parking. And our bus was stuck in it. So it took forever to get to the other end of the bus route, and our bus stop. Honestly, I was sure the sulfuric gas would not be worth our time tomorrow if it takes that long to get a parking spot.
